Believe in a world of 'stuff out there'? That's all run by 'natural law'? You might want to think again.

We viscerally 'feel' the physical world 'out there' - that's how our brains get us to take things seriously. Our brains are also really good at finding patterns and meaning. But of course, first and foremost, all of this - our sensed physical reality and its patterns - is an incredible construction of our brain's neural gymnastics. 'Yeah, yeah' you want to say 'but even so: it's all is still out there in the real world, right?' To which my only question is: Dude, really? Let me know when you find a way to even make coherent sense of that. After all, your brain is the one doing the talking...

If I'm lucky, you're already convinced, as a general principle, that what we call the 'physical world' is a complete fabrication of your mind (Quantum fans: here I still mean that independently of of quantum mechanics) If so, then yippee! You can skip to the section below on where I think quantum mechanics actually does fit in with this picture. That's the point of this post anyway.
